The design competition for the Annex to the National Museum of Finland concluded in late 2019, highlighting questions regarding the relationship between architecture and the story of a nation. More than a century has passed since the inauguration of the National Museum, and Finnish society has grown more diverse than ever – there is therefore a need for reinterpretations of the national as well.
