When Eräpohja Architects started designing a holiday home on the edge of a nature reserve and in the vicinity of the grounds of a manor house, the authorities felt that it should be as unobtrusive as possible in the landscape.
Kalasatama Electricity Substation provides electricity to approximately 20,000 people in the Kalasatama, Kulosaari, and Suvilahti districts in Helsinki, yet also aims to create an inviting space for the citizens – with a surrounding metal wall designed for graffiti art.
